You will develop scalable backend services that support energy-market communications, billing workflows, and accounting.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign backend systems that simplify complex billing and energy-market workflows.\n\nScale core infrastructure to support increasing transaction volumes and market demands.\n\nShip features and improvements through rapid iteration and practical problem-solving.\n\nContribute to technical quality through code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentorship.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 3 years of hands-on backend engineering experience, including recent production coding and shipping.\n\nStrong TypeScript and Node.js skills, including asynchronous programming.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access, such as Drizzle or similar tools.\n\nExperience building backend services with Next.js, including API routes or server components.\n\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and designing scalable, maintainable services.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals gained through formal education or equivalent practical experience.\n\nEvidence of exceptional technical ability through notable projects, research, competition results, founding work, or comparable achievements.\n\nFluency in German at C1 level or higher.\n\nExperience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows is helpful.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nAnnual base salary: €80,000 to €120,000.
