You will develop scalable backend services, billing infrastructure, and market communication systems that support complex energy operations.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign backend solutions that simplify billing and energy-market systems.\n\nScale core infrastructure to support growing transaction volumes and market demands.\n\nShip features and improvements through rapid iteration.\n\nRaise technical standards through code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentorship.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 3 years of hands-on backend development experience, with recent production coding and shipping work.\n\nProficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL and ORM-based data access, such as Drizzle or similar tools.\n\nExperience building Next.js backend services, including API routes or server components.\n\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and designing scalable, maintainable core services.\n\nExperience integrating Stripe payments and billing workflows.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals through formal education or equivalent practical experience, plus evidence of exceptional technical ability through projects, research, competition results, or founding work.\n\nFluent or native-level German proficiency, at C1 or above.\n\nClear communication, an ownership mindset, and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: €80,000 to €120,000 annually.
