As a Founding Engineer, you will build the infrastructure, tools, and systems that help AI agents turn diverse data sources into reliable, continuously updated industry research.\nWhat You'll Do\nShip features across the frontend, backend infrastructure, and real-time systems.\n\nBuild data pipelines and tools that help analysts add sources and maintain industry coverage reliably.\n\nImprove agent-based parsing and extraction systems, including how they handle complex research tasks.\n\nOwn work end to end, from data inspection and quality assurance through instrumentation, production releases, and debugging.\n\nDevelop a company ontology and an initial earnings research product.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 2 years of experience building, shipping, and operating production systems, with approximately 7 years or less of professional experience.\n\nHands-on experience deploying agentic AI systems or LLM-based applications in production, and sound judgment about when to use AI reasoning versus deterministic software.\n\nFull-stack capability, with depth in at least one area such as backend engineering, data infrastructure, applied AI, or product engineering.\n\nPython backend experience with FastAPI or an equivalent framework, plus TypeScript and React.\n\nExperience with ETL, data modeling, SQL, relational database design and optimization, and production monitoring and debugging.\n\nFamiliarity with AWS, real-time data systems, and streaming updates; experience with modern data tools or edge infrastructure is a plus.\n\nExperience in software engineering at an investment firm, including recent AI project work, is required. Capital markets, financial research, or investment banking experience is a plus.\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen and able to work on-site in New York City five days per week, either locally or after relocating.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: $156,000 to $182,000 annually.
