As a founding engineer, you will own this core product area and work closely with company leadership to turn product goals into production systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and own recommendation, ranking, retrieval, and matching systems.\n\nDevelop LLM-powered features that improve alignment between candidates and roles.\n\nTake product features from problem definition through implementation and production release.\n\nArchitect and maintain the data pipelines and services that support production models.\n\nCollaborate with company leadership and ship improvements at a rapid cadence.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nTwo to five years of experience building and shipping end-to-end software features in production environments.\n\nProduction experience with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, or ML-powered matching.\n\nApplied machine learning experience, including shipping models or ML-powered products to users.\n\nProficiency in TypeScript or Python, plus experience with production LLM APIs and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, or equivalent.\n\nExperience building and maintaining production data pipelines and services, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals and evidence of notable technical work, such as open-source contributions or personal projects.\n\nHelpful experience includes React, embeddings, vector search, Supabase, Prisma, Typesense, or workflow automation tools.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary is $130,000 to $170,000 annually, plus founding-hire equity. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.\nLocation\nOn-site in San Francisco, California.
