You will own this core product area and work closely with the founding team to turn product goals into production systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn recommendation, ranking, and retrieval systems from design through production.\n\nBuild LLM-powered matching features that improve candidate-role alignment.\n\nTake product features from problem definition to production, shipping at a rapid cadence.\n\nArchitect and maintain the data pipelines and services that support production models.\n\nWork directly with company leadership to translate product goals into shipped systems.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nTwo to five years of software engineering experience building and shipping end-to-end product features.\n\nSubstantive experience shipping applied AI/ML products, including production recommendation, ranking, or matching systems.\n\nExperience building LLM-powered features with production LLM APIs, and hands-on work with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent ML frameworks.\n\nStrong production engineering skills in TypeScript or Python, plus experience with data pipelines and services.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals and experience working in fast-paced startup environments.\n\nMore than six months of substantive U.S.-based work experience.\n\nReact, Supabase, Prisma, Typesense or similar search infrastructure, embeddings, vector search, and workflow automation tools are helpful.\n\nDemonstrated technical achievement through education, open-source contributions, or personal projects is valued.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary is $130,000 to $170,000 annually, plus founding-hire equity. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.\nLocation\nOn-site in San Francisco, California. Relocation is supported.
