You will own critical infrastructure for coordinating experiments, connecting agents and instruments, and capturing reliable data across physical and software systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild systems that schedule and coordinate experiments across distributed laboratories.\n\nConnect AI agents to experiments and instruments through robust agent infrastructure.\n\nDesign data infrastructure to capture system state, actions, measurements, failures, and provenance.\n\nArchitect distributed systems that reliably coordinate software, devices, and experiments.\n\nDevelop APIs and developer tools for new workflows and integrations.\n\nDebug and optimize systems across software, hardware, and physical environments.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 3 years of experience building production-grade software systems end to end.\n\nStrong proficiency in Python or Rust, with solid software engineering fundamentals.\n\nProduction backend or distributed-systems experience, including APIs, networking, and asynchronous communication.\n\nExperience building software as an engineer at an early-stage startup.\n\nAbility to take ownership in ambiguous environments and debug across software and hardware layers.\n\nExperience with robotics, physical AI, hardware integration, lab automation, embedded systems, ML infrastructure, data infrastructure, or orchestration systems is a plus. Biology experience is not required.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $100,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.\nLocation\nOn-site in Munich, Germany.
