You will own critical infrastructure spanning experiment orchestration, agent connectivity, and distributed coordination, and will have a direct hand in shaping the technical foundation of the product from day one.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild experiment orchestration systems that schedule and coordinate work across distributed lab environments.\n\nConnect AI agents to real-world experiments and instruments through robust, reliable agent infrastructure.\n\nDesign and implement data infrastructure to capture state, actions, measurements, failures, and provenance.\n\nArchitect distributed systems that reliably coordinate software, devices, and experiments at scale.\n\nDevelop developer tooling and APIs to accelerate new workflows and integrations.\n\nDebug and optimize across the full stack, from software through to hardware and physical systems.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n3 or more years building production-grade software systems end-to-end.\n\nStrong proficiency in Rust or TypeScript.\n\nDeep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, networking, and asynchronous programming.\n\nDemonstrated experience designing data infrastructure that captures state, events, and provenance at scale.\n\nExperience building orchestration or scheduling systems that coordinate multiple concurrent processes or devices.\n\nExperience debugging and integrating across hardware, firmware, and software layers in production systems.\n\nExperience building developer tooling, SDKs, or APIs for integration workflows.\n\nHigh agency and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving early-stage environments.\n\nExperience with robotics, hardware integration, lab automation, embedded systems, or ML infrastructure is a strong plus.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary range: $100,000 to $170,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.\nLocation\nOn-site in Munich, Germany (primary), with additional office locations in Zurich, Switzerland and San Francisco, USA.
