You will own core infrastructure for coordinating experiments, connecting agents and instruments, and managing distributed workflows across software and physical systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild systems to schedule and coordinate experiments across distributed labs.\n\nDevelop reliable infrastructure that connects AI agents with experiments and laboratory instruments.\n\nDesign data systems that capture state, actions, measurements, failures, and provenance.\n\nArchitect distributed systems that coordinate software, devices, and experiments.\n\nCreate developer tools and APIs for new workflows and integrations.\n\nDebug and optimize across software, hardware, and physical systems.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nTypically 3 to 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years building production-grade software systems end to end.\n\nStrong proficiency in Python or Rust, with experience in Rust or TypeScript relevant to the role.\n\nDemonstrated experience designing distributed systems, including APIs, networking, and asynchronous communication.\n\nExperience as an engineer at an early-stage startup and comfort taking ownership in ambiguous environments.\n\nExperience with ML infrastructure or production ML systems is valuable.\n\nExperience with robotics, physical AI, agents, lab automation, embedded systems, developer tooling, or data infrastructure is a plus.\n\nBiology experience is not required.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range: $100,000 to $200,000 USD annually.
