This hands-on role combines product strategy, design, and full-stack engineering, with a focus on learning from real users and improving engagement and retention.\nWhat You'll Do\nDefine product positioning, scope features, and identify the smallest complete version to build.\n\nDesign consumer user experiences, including onboarding, activation flows, and interface copy.\n\nBuild frontend and backend systems with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.\n\nImplement APIs, SQL data models, authentication, payments, and subscriptions.\n\nSet up analytics, experiments, and production monitoring to measure user engagement and retention.\n\nDeploy applications, debug production issues, and maintain reliable core functionality.\n\nUse user feedback and product data to guide iteration and product decisions.\n\nShip polished MVPs or substantial product iterations in roughly three to seven days.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least three years of experience shipping consumer products end-to-end, from concept through production.\n\nExperience building and shipping a product in an early-stage startup or through independent product work, with evidence of real users.\n\nStrong production experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js, plus APIs, SQL databases, and data modeling.\n\nHands-on experience implementing authentication, payments, and subscriptions, and deploying and debugging production applications.\n\nExperience designing consumer product interfaces and using analytics and experimentation to evaluate engagement and retention.\n\nConsumer apps, social products, communication tools, or cross-platform development experience is valuable.\n\nFamiliarity with PostHog or similar analytics tools and AI development tools, while maintaining sound architectural judgment and code quality.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $200,000 to $350,000 USD annually.
