This opportunity is suited to an experienced engineer or quantitative thinker who can contribute in a zero-to-one startup environment, whether or not data science has been their formal job title.\nWhat You'll Do\nApply quantitative and engineering skills to develop practical data science and AI solutions.\n\nUse agentic AI coding tools as part of your daily technical workflow.\n\nTake ownership of work in an early-stage setting where problems and priorities can change quickly.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nFive or more years of relevant technical experience, with an engineering or quantitative background such as AI, machine learning, software engineering, mathematics, or data science.\n\nA quantitative degree from a highly selective university, a mathematics PhD, or equivalent depth of mathematical rigor.\n\nExperience as an early startup hire, ideally among the first 15 employees, and the ability to work effectively in a zero-to-one environment.\n\nDaily hands-on use of agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent.\n\nStrong practical problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguity. Prior retail or fresh-produce experience is not required.\n\nWillingness to work in a high-intensity, always-on environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nAnnual salary range: €70,000 to €110,000. Visa sponsorship is available.\nLocation\nHybrid role based in Berlin, Germany.
