This role is suited to a technically strong, quantitatively minded builder who can turn ambiguous problems into practical, production-ready work.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop and deploy machine learning and data science solutions for operational problems.\n\nWork with complex data to build forecasting, optimization, or other quantitative models.\n\nUse agentic AI coding tools in your day-to-day technical work and contribute in a fast-moving startup environment.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n5 to 10+ years of technical experience, with an engineering, machine learning, or quantitative background; a data science title is not required.\n\nStrong quantitative foundations, such as a rigorous mathematics or other quantitative degree from a highly selective university, or equivalent depth.\n\nDaily experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.\n\nExperience as an early startup hire, ideally among the first 15 employees, and the ability to build in a zero-to-one environment.\n\nProduction-focused technical skills and comfort working with ambiguity and evolving data. Retail or fresh produce experience is not required.\n\nBased in Berlin or willing to relocate, and comfortable with a highly demanding startup environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: €70,000 to €110,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.\nLocation\nHybrid in Berlin, Germany.
