You will work closely with company leaders and early customers to shape product direction and establish strong engineering practices.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and operate backend services and public APIs for customers and partners.\n\nDevelop integrations with financial systems and process data from APIs, documents, and files.\n\nBuild ETL pipelines with data quality checks and reconciliation logic.\n\nSet up logging, metrics, alerts, and incident response practices.\n\nCollaborate with customers to prototype solutions, measure impact, and prioritize what to build.\n\nApply LLMs to production workflows when they provide measurable value, with appropriate safeguards.\n\nDocument architectural decisions, testing practices, and security standards.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 5 years of backend engineering experience delivering production systems end to end.\n\nStrong experience with OLTP systems, relational data modeling, REST APIs, and consistency and availability trade-offs.\n\nExperience integrating complex external APIs, including authentication, rate limits, retries, and webhooks.\n\nAbility to extract, validate, and normalize data from sources such as PDFs, XML, and emails.\n\nPractical cloud and DevOps experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CD, and monitoring.\n\nExperience with ETL, observability, and production operations; familiarity with financial data, ledgers, and reconciliation is valuable.\n\nExposure to event-driven systems, workflow engines, or guarded production LLM deployments is a plus.\n\nComfort working with ambiguity, changing priorities, and early-stage product decisions.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary: $45,000 to $80,000 USD annually.
