You will design and own the data-heavy distributed systems that ingest multi-vendor IoT monitoring data, contextualize it in real time, and power shipment-risk quantification and OTIF prediction workflows. Your work directly protects high-value shipments, so reliability and scale are non-negotiable.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and build backend services powering a logistics orchestration and decision-intelligence platform.\n\nOwn end-to-end partner data flows, from multi-vendor ingestion and normalization through warehousing, observability, and on-call support.\n\nBuild and maintain production data pipelines that handle IoT sensor data, partner APIs, webhooks, queues, and carrier integrations.\n\nDevelop predictive systems for on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance and automate exception-handling workflows.\n\nOperate independently and collaborate closely with leadership to ship high-leverage features quickly in a growth-stage environment.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n10+ years building production data pipelines, with 5+ years of backend engineering on scalable distributed systems.\n\nHands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js; strong Java experience is a plus.\n\nProduction experience with multi-vendor data ingest, config-driven transforms, partner APIs, and IoT or regulated healthcare data.\n\nSolid SQL skills and relational data modeling depth; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a bonus.\n\nExperience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.\n\nHands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deploying services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.\n\nStrong API design skills across REST and/or gRPC.\n\nDemonstrated software engineering discipline: testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.\n\nPrimary background in external partner-facing operational data integrations, not internal platform, DevOps-only, or general full-stack work.\n\nDomain knowledge in logistics, cold chain, supply chain, or IoT is a meaningful plus.\n\nGenuine interest in operating at a small, fast-moving Series A team alongside a structured engineering background.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase salary $130,000 to $160,000 USD annually, plus equity and a cash bonus.
