You will work in a small, high-ownership team pushing the limits of real-world robot autonomy and flexibility.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn and evolve the full robotics software stack for an industrial work cell.\n\nDevelop and optimize motion planning, trajectory generation, and closed-loop control algorithms.\n\nIntegrate perception hardware, including cameras, force/torque sensors, and LiDAR, into real-time control loops.\n\nImplement industrial safety concepts and fail-safe behaviors.\n\nLead on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning of robotic systems.\n\nDrive architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices across the team.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years of hands-on robotics engineering experience with real robot hardware.\n\nStrong command of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.\n\nProficiency in C++ and/or Python for robotics development (ROS 2 experience is a strong plus).\n\nHands-on experience integrating vision and force/torque sensors into real-time robot-control loops.\n\nExperience with industrial or collaborative robot arms and associated end-of-arm tooling.\n\nPractical experience deploying robotic systems in real production or industrial environments, not simulation only.\n\nCompetence with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or CATIA.\n\nFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT or OPC-UA is a plus.\n\nBackground in machine vision or 3D perception is a plus.\n\nExperience in surface finishing, welding, or coating automation is a strong plus.\n\nFluent English; German is a plus.\n\nComfortable with broad architectural ownership and the pace of an early-stage hardware startup.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nEstimated cash compensation of EUR 75,000 to EUR 110,000 annually, plus meaningful equity participation. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must already be eligible to work in Germany.\nLocation\nOn-site, five days per week in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
