You will build backend services, data pipelines, and AI-powered systems that support procurement and supply chain operations, helping ensure goods move reliably through complex manufacturing workflows.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and scale backend services with Next.js API routes, background jobs, and serverless functions for high-throughput order processing.\n\nBuild and productionize LLM-based agents, AI/ML infrastructure, and RAG patterns for quote analysis and supplier recommendations.\n\nDesign PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and complex queries for materials, quotes, orders, and supplier relationships.\n\nBuild event-driven pipelines for order state management, notifications, and synchronization across systems.\n\nImplement caching, rate limiting, and reliability strategies for external API integrations.\n\nEstablish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices, and participate in backend incident response.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nAt least 5 years of production experience building backend services, data pipelines, or platform infrastructure.\n\nHands-on experience with AI development, including NLP/ML pipelines for extracting information from unstructured documents using OCR or similar techniques.\n\nRecent hands-on experience with Next.js, TypeScript, agentic frameworks, and PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.\n\nExperience designing transactional systems with ACID guarantees, idempotent APIs, and reliable event-driven processing.\n\nExperience integrating with ERP systems and third-party APIs, including legacy or poorly documented interfaces.\n\nBackground in manufacturing supply chain, procurement, or logistics, and experience working on a startup or similarly small team.\n\nStrong computer science fundamentals and experience with production monitoring, incident response, caching, and rate limiting.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe base salary range is $160,000 to $250,000 annually.
