# Tech Lead

About the Role Lead a team of 3 to 4 engineers at a growing B2B communications software company. This hands-on role balances backend architecture and development with coaching the team and improving its delivery. What You'll Do Spend approximately half your time on architecture, development, code reviews, and important technical projects. Take responsibility for the team's effectiveness, technical quality, and delivery. Partner with Product to understand customer problems, shape solutions, define scope, and set priorities. Set technical direction while enabling engineers to make decisions and develop their judgment. Hold regular 1:1s, give actionable feedback, and support each engineer's development. Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and identify delivery risks early. Improve engineering practices and explore how AI can support the software development lifecycle. Contribute to hiring through technical interviews and candidate conversations. What We're Looking For At least 3 years of experience in Senior or Staff Engineer roles, with recent, hands-on backend development experience.
