The role is accountable for delivering measurable business value through brand activity, including growth in awareness, preference, demand, and revenue. They will set brand strategy, including positioning and brand architecture, for Clermont and its operating companies, and ensure it is applied consistently across every market and channel. They will lead the Design team, translating strategy into high-quality creative work at pace. They must have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders at Clermont and at our operating companies.\nResponsibilities\nOwn brand across the Clermont Group and its contribution to growth, with accountability for brand equity, commercial performance, and return on brand investment\nDefine and evolve brand strategy for Clermont and its operating companies, including positioning, value propositions, and messaging\nSet and maintain brand architecture for operating companies\nEstablish brand governance so that strategy, guidelines, and visual identity are implemented consistently across operating companies, markets, and touchpoints\nPartner with operating company leaders to develop marketing plans and campaigns that support their growth objectives, and ensure execution meets Clermont’s standards\nDefine KPIs for brand and marketing activity, including brand health, campaign effectiveness, and return on investment, and report results to senior leadership\nTranslate brand strategy into clear creative briefs, and set a high bar for creative excellence across print, digital, video, and multimedia output\nLead and develop the Design team, providing end-to-end oversight of concurrent workstreams and remaining hands-on where required\nContinuously evolve the function by introducing innovative tools and ways of working, including the thoughtful adoption of AI\nRequirements\nThe successful candidate will ideally possess the following traits:\nA minimum of 10 years’ experience in brand, marketing, or design\nProven experience developing brand strategy, including positioning, brand architecture, and messaging\nA track record of embedding brand standards consistently across a multi-brand or multi-market organisation\nDemonstrated ability to link brand and marketing activity to commercial outcomes, with experience setting and reporting on KPIs\nStrong commercial acumen, with the ability to build a business case for brand and marketing investment\nExceptional creative judgement and attention to detail, with a strong critical eye for consistency and quality\nDemonstrated ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders\nA growth mindset, with the confidence to challenge conventions and step outside comfort zones\nProfessional presence and polish, appropriate for a senior leadership
