As an Environmental Services Supervisor on our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment - just like our patients have come to expect. In this role, you will supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department, acting as a technical resource for team members. You will implement goals consistent with your assigned units and provide effective utilizationof personnel, policies, and procedures in order toensure a clean, safeand attractive environment.Here, you willjoin a team that’sfocused on delivering world-class care. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Fridayfrom 3:00PM - 11:30PM,including every other weekend.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Supervise caregivers in daily operations and evaluate performance.
Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high qualitycleaning and maintenance is being performed.
Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
Ensure cross coverage.
Coordinate and provide orientation, educationand training.
Improve procedures and processes.
Analyze workflowand procedures and recommend changes, as appropriate.
Provide recommendations to improve speed, qualityand effectiveness of the departmentprocedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager or Supervisor OR a Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience managing direct reports
Environmental Services and/or housekeeping experience
Experience with computer programs (e.g., Excel, Wordand Workday)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
- Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
- Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
- Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
