This role develops curriculum, delivers training and provides post-training site support as well as analyzes post training survey data in order to improve training effectiveness.\nA caregiver in this position will work varying hours days/evenings/weekends between 7:00am and 3:00pm or between 8:00am and 5:00pm.\nA caregiver who excels in this role will:\nDesign and deliver training programs for new telemetry/monitor technicians\nTeach cardiac rhythm interpretation (including arrhythmias and lethal rhythms)\nProvide onboarding, competency validation, and refresher courses\nDevelop lesson plans, training manuals, and simulation scenarios\nEnsure staff accurately interpret ECG rhythms in real time\nReinforce proper monitoring protocols and escalation procedures\nServe as a clinical resource for complex or difficult rhythm interpretations\nAudit monitor technician performance and documentation\nIdentify knowledge gaps and implement corrective training\nMaintain compliance with hospital policies and accrediting bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission)\nPartner with nurse educators, cardiology teams, and leadership\nCoordinate training schedules with unit managers\nSupport interdisciplinary communication between monitoring staff and bedside teams\nTrain staff on cardiac monitoring systems (e.g., Philips Healthcare or GE Healthcare platforms)\nEnsure proper use of telemetry equipment and alarm systems\nTroubleshoot monitoring issues and educate staff on solutions\nPerform Monitor Technician duties as needed in accordance with departmental standards and patient safety expectations\nMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nBasic Life Support (BLS)\nMinimum three years training experience and demonstrated training proficiency.\nBackground as a telemetry technician, cardiac monitor tech, or nurse\nStrong ECG/arrhythmia interpretation skills\nPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\nBachelor's Degree in Education, Health Service Administration or related field\nEKG Certification or equivalent\nThree years health care experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods\nAbility to operate a computer and other office equipment\nAbility to communicate and exchange accurate information\nPersonal Protective Equipment:\nFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.\nThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
