In this role, you will support interventional cardiology research studies, including more than 50 active studies, with approximately 10 in study start-up, 30 enrolling and 24 in follow-up. Responsibilities include IRB and regulatory support, maintaining and creating regulatory documents, scheduling research patients, uploading images and maintaining EDC systems for cardiovascular patient data capture.\nYour work will help advance interventional cardiovascular care and treatment options while supporting the growth of patient participation and future clinical trials. While the numerous responsibilities can be challenging to manage, you will work with a supportive team that encourages you to enhance your skills and identify new avenues of treatment. Join a culture devoted to advancing healthcare and improving outcomes for patients.\nA caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible)\nA caregiver who excels in this role will:\nAssist with coordinating the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects.\n\nMaintain regulatory documents and binders, conduct data management, complete IRB submissions and communicate with the research team.\n\nReport and complete serious adverse events and/or safety logs.\n\nCommunicate with sponsors, monitors and research personnel to ensure all aspects of study compliance.\n\nCollaborate with primary investigators, sponsors and research caregivers to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols, including research subject recruitment.\n\nSchedule pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, webinars, monitoring and close-out visits.\n\nPlan, conduct and evaluate project protocols and research subject recruitment.\n\nMonitor and report project status and research data.\n\nComplete regulatory documents, data capture, monitoring plans and protocol-related activities.\n\nAssist with preparing and responding to audits and maintaining research tools.\n\nComplete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic.\n\nMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\nHigh School Diploma or GED and two years of clinical research or healthcare experience\n\nOR Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or a science-related field\n\nDemonstrated proficiency with various computer-based skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, data entry, and EPIC)\n\nUnderstanding of the basic concepts of study design\n\nWithin 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic\n\nStrong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills\n\nPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or a science-related field\n\nComputer acumen (Outlook, Excel, research databases)\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods\n\nAbility to operate a computer and other office equipment\n\nAbility to communicate and exchange accurate information\n\nIn some locations, ability to move up to 25 pounds\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment:\nFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.\n\nThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
