Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Java and modern development practices.
Design and implement new functionalities based on business and technical requirements.
Work with existing codebases, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to their modernization and optimization.
Develop and integrate REST APIs and cooperate with other application and platform components.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, performance problems and production incidents when required.
Collaborate with other developers, QA engineers, architects and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews and continuous improvement of development processes.
What we’re looking for:
Several years of professional experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Java 17+ and object-oriented programming principles.
Practical experience with Spring / Spring Boot and building backend applications or RESTful services.
Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
Experience with Git, automated testing and standard software development practices.
Familiarity with microservices, messaging systems and cloud technologies will be an advantage.
Analytical approach to problem solving, good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Good command of English, allowing comfortable communication in an international technical environment.
