This role will be based at Clicks Pinelands and will report into the Store Manager.\nJob description\nJob Purpose:\nTo ensure that the safe, accurate, timely, and confidential delivery of prescription medications and healthcare products to customers. The driver plays a vital role in maintaining trust and reliability between the pharmacy and its clients, while providing professional service and always protecting patient confidentiality. This role will be responsible primarily for ensuring that all customer parcels are delivered timeously and accurately on a specified delivery route.\nJob Objectives:\nDeliver prescription and OTC medications and healthcare products safely and on time to patients at residential homes, clinics, retirement homes, and hospitals. \nPrioritise urgent deliveries in line with instructions from the Pharmacy or Store Manager. Handle temperature sensitive and scheduled medication securely in accordance with the pharmacy’s approved procedures. \nMaintain the required cold-chain conditions for refrigerated medicines and products, including the correct use of ice packs or other approved temperature-control packaging. Load, organise and secure parcels carefully to prevent loss, damage, contamination or delivery errors. \nObtain signatures and maintain proof-of-delivery records are complete and accurate. \nAlways maintain patient confidentiality, including during transport, handover and return of parcels (if need). \nCommunicate professionally with patients/customers and healthcare staff\nRelay patient or customer concerns or queries to the Store Manager\nReturn undelivered or rejected items to the dispensary with the relevant documentation\nEnsure that the vehicle/E-bike is cleaned regularly and the battery is placed in the appropriate charging device at the end of every shift. \nEnsure check sheet for deliveries are completed accurately\nEnsure the accurate number of parcels are confirmed beforehand\nEnsure that all duties allocated by the Pharmacy or Store Manager are carried out and completed. Duties will not only involve deliveries but will include duties within the store environment.\nWear all company-issued and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while performing delivery duties, and ensure PPE is used correctly and kept in a safe, serviceable condition. Safeguard the company-issued motorcycle/e-bike and all company property, equipment and devices assigned to you, ensuring they are used responsibly, secured appropriately when unattended, and protected against loss, theft, damage or misuse.
