Thesevaluesare ourfoundation!\nDESCRIPTION\nThe Data Engineer - Data & Automation builds the data pipelines, automations, and internal tools that help Sinch's customer-facing teams work faster, andmeasuresthe results.\nReporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, this role is part of Global Customer Excellence and works with Customer Support, Customer Onboarding, Policy Assurance, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. Operational Excellence maps how the teams work, builds the improvements, and measures them. This role does the building and the measuring.\nMain responsibilities:\nBuild and maintain data pipelines from support, onboarding, and billing systems (Zendesk, Jira, and internal platforms).\n\nDesign, build, and deploy automations, integrations, and internal tools that remove manual steps from team workflows.\n\nBuild integrations between Zendesk and internal systems using APIs and webhooks.\n\nBuild data models, dashboards, and reports that teams and leadership use every day, including the operational metrics the teams are measured on.\n\nCapture a baseline before each improvement and measure the result after release.\n\nShare ownership of the team's platform: architecture, version control, deployment, monitoring, and documentation.\n\nUse AI tools where they add value, andcheck their output against real data before teams rely on it.\n\nFollow Sinch's security and data-governance standards: security review before deployment, centrally managed credentials, and auditable changes.\n\nWork with process owners to turn a documented process into a working automation, andexplain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nSupport the rollout of new tools and monitor their health after launch.\n\nREQUIREMENTS\nBe based in Brazil, México, Colombia or Sweden.\n\nAdvanced or fluent English\n\nBachelor's degree in a related field\n\nExperience in data engineering, automation, technical operations, or support engineering\n\nHas built and run pipelines, automations, or integrations that other people rely on in production\n\nHands-on with SQL and a scripting language such as Python or JavaScript\n\nExperience working with APIs and webhooks, and integrating SaaS platforms such as Zendesk and Jira\n\nExperience building dashboards and reports (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)\n\nUnderstands data quality: every metric needs a definition, a baseline, and an owner\n\nFamiliar with Git and with deploying and maintaining tools in a shared environment\n\nComfortable using AI tools as part of the work, with a critical eye on the quality of their output\n\nAware of security and data-privacy practices when handling customer data\n\nAble to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues\n\nWorks independently, prioritizes well, and follows work through to production\n\nComfort working across regions and time zones (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) in a remote setting\n\nOUR HIRING PROCESS\nWe are committed to ensuring a recruitment process that is fair, objective, consistent, and inclusive.
