The new driver must have a CDL A license, Tanker, and HazMat endorsement, the ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days of hire and have at least 1 year of experience. Subject to working nights, weekends and holidays while on-call or in an emergency response.\nEssential Functions:\nEnsures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times\nManeuver tractor and trailers into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned\nCollect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes\nDrive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous products; oil, gas, or other equipment\nMaintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations\nCheck the truck to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.\nPlan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption\nReport defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the tractor and/or trailer\nSecure equipment for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers\nObtain receipts, payment or signatures for services when required\nPerform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs\nInspect the load before and after to determine the physical condition\nPerform other duties and tasks as assigned\nMinimum Requirements:\nClass A CDL required\nPrefer candidates with at least 1 year of commercial driving experience\nPrefer candidates with heavy haul oil or gasoline experience\nHS Diploma or equivalent\nAbility to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days\nAbility to obtain HAZMAT certification within 30 days\nBenefits\nHealth Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\n401k\nLife Insurance\nPaid Time Off\nEmployee Assistant Program\nReferral Program\nSign-on Bonus \nPhysical Demands\nThe employee is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop or walk in the performance of essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
