This is an excellent opportunity to work with a pioneering, versatile, and dynamic organization, committed to advancing policy design, building capacity, implementing carbon finance mechanisms, and scaling-up sustainable business opportunities. Tasks will include:\nConduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis related to climate and the environment (GHG accounting, carbon budgets and inventories),\nResearch on climate policy and governance (Article 6), compliance and voluntary carbon markets and carbon pricing instruments,climate finance, land use change (e.g., deforestation and restoration), and agricultural sustainable business models to address drivers of deforestation,\n\nConduct research about the economic impacts of climate change and climate change mitigation strategies,\nSupport drafting and editing of reports and briefings for client deliverables,\nContribute to business development by supporting proposal drafting,\nHelp prepare for client meetings, workshops and events\nProfile\nRequired skills:\nA bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, environmental engineering, finance, business administration, geography, or related fields.\nA master’s degree in public policy and management, law, climate policy, carbon accounting, sustainability management, environmental engineering or similar. Postgraduate students currently finalizing their degrees are welcome to apply\nProven skills (and fluency) in writing papers, articles, or reports in Spanish and English. French is a desired plus.\nSolid research and analytical skills,\nProficiency in Microsoft office package tools, Excel modelling, R or Python, GIS.\nLegal right to work in Colombia\nDesired soft skills\nProven affinity with environmental protection, and climate change mitigation, including Article 6 and the VCM,\nPrevious experience or education in the field of climate change policy, climate and development finance, or sustainability,\nGreat attention to detail and respect for deadlines,\nCuriosity and ability to learn fast on technical topics,\nTeam player that enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment,\nWhat we offer\n3-month paid traineeship (contrato de prestación de servicios) starting in January 2027, with possibility of extension for additional 3 months.
