Our team says it’s the best of both worlds….\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Designer Intern to join our Clinical Data Management team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing and maintaining clinical databases used in clinical research and supporting data management activities within a Contract Research Organization (CRO).\nThe intern will work closely with experienced Database Designers, Clinical Data Managers, and cross-functional teams to support the development of high-quality clinical databases in accordance with study requirements and applicable standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in the design and development of clinical study databases based on study protocols and data collection requirements.\n\nSupport the creation and maintenance of database structures, forms, fields, edit checks, and validation rules.\n\nReview study protocols, CRFs/eCRFs, and data specifications to understand database requirements.\n\nAssist with developing and reviewing database specifications and data collection forms.\n\nSupport the implementation and testing of edit checks and data validation rules.\n\nPerform basic database testing and document testing results and issues.\n\nWork with Data Management and other project team members to identify and resolve database-related issues.\n\nAssist with database updates and maintenance throughout the study lifecycle.\n\nEnsure database components are developed according to project specifications, quality standards, and applicable procedures.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation of database design and testing activities.\n\nParticipate in team meetings and training sessions to develop knowledge of clinical data management processes.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree, or currently pursuing a degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.\n\nStrong interest in clinical research, healthcare data, or clinical data management.\n\nBasic understanding of databases and data structures.\n\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work with structured data.\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nWillingness to learn clinical research processes, database design, and data management tools.\n\nOpen Date: 10/29/2026\nClose Date: 11/30/2026\n\nT he compensation mentioned below is an hourly rate.\nClinChoice Canada Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, valuing and respecting diversity.
