The role ensures accuracy, regulatory compliance and on-time delivery. It is the escalation point for complex billing issues and leads continuous improvement and automation of the process, working with other departments to keep the whole cycle consistent.\nKey responsibilities\nBilling process ownership\nOwn the billing cycle for multiple legal entities, making sure invoices are accurate and issued on time.\nReview and approve orders according to internal procedures, and set the review criteria for special cases.\nRecord, update and verify data in the ERP system (NetSuite) to keep it accurate and complete.\nResolve complex billing issues and act as the escalation point for the rest of the team.\nCollections and direct debit batches\nDesign, run and reconcile SEPA direct debit batches, including mandate management, sending files to the bank and handling returned debits.\nManage credit card payments and their reconciliation.\nWork with the Collections team on outstanding payments and returned debits.\nTax and regulatory compliance\nSubmit records to the SII within the 4-day deadline, with ongoing reconciliation throughout the period.\nApply VAT and e-invoicing regulations correctly when issuing invoices.\nSupport internal and external audits, as well as requests from tax authorities.\nMonth-end close and cross-functional coordination\nMake sure all of the month’s invoices are issued and recorded in NetSuite before close.\nCheck that all ARR and its related invoices are booked to the correct period.\nReconcile and validate our records against external records, such as VAT filings and subsidiary records.\nWork with Customer Support to resolve billing tickets.\nWork with the Sales and/or Revenue Operations teams to confirm the commercial terms, pricing and agreements that apply to billing.\nHandle questions and discrepancies from internal and external clients and resolve them quickly.\nContinuous improvement and automation\nFind the root causes of recurring issues and lead process improvements and automation in NetSuite.\nReview internal billing reports, validating the data and the completed processes.\nDocument procedures and internal controls.\nIdentify and adopt AI tools that automate repetitive billing tasks and make the process more efficient.\nMentoring and team development\nTrain and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.\nPropose and maintain process documentation to make onboarding easier for new team members.\nRequirements\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable or finance operations.\nNetSuite experience preferred.\nKnowledge of Spanish VAT, SII and e-invoicing regulations.\nExperience with SaaS systems and payment reconciliation tools.\nAdvanced English (C1), spoken and written.\nTechnical and personal skills\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nWorks independently and takes ownership of the process.\nAble to organize and prioritize several tasks at once, especially during month-end close.\nProblem-solving and continuous-improvement mindset.\nGood communication skills, with the ability to influence and align different departments.\nEnjoys sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.\nInterest in and comfort with AI tools for finance processes, as well as Excel and office software.\nWhat you will find here:\nCompensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
