If you are located near one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of twice per week on our designated Anchor Days.\nAbout the role\nReporting to the Design Director for Work & Enterprise, you will play a critical leadership role as part of the extended design leadership team. You will be responsible for the product design experience within Clio Work, our AI-native workspace for the practice of law, where legal professionals and AI collaborate on substantive legal work. You will drive design strategy, foster a high-performing team, and partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver exceptional user experiences.\nClio Work brings together research, analysis, drafting, and court interactions in a single intelligent environment that understands both the matter at hand and the law that governs it. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support the professional development of your team.\n\nResource Planning: Manage design resources and forecast future needs, ensuring the team is adequately staffed to meet product goals.\n\nDesign System Contribution: Contribute to and evolve Clio's design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the platform.\n\nWhat you bring\n10+ years of experience in product design, with experience shipping AI-native enterprise software required.\n\n5+ years of experience managing and leading product design teams.\n\nProven track record of shipping high quality, impactful work in complex and regulated problem spaces.\n\nDemonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing design teams.\n\nDemonstrated ability to make hard decisions with accountability and transparency.\n\nRemoves ambiguity, is adaptable and flexible.\n\nUnderstand key business metrics, user needs and how to connect them to Design.\n\nExcellent cross-disciplinary collaboration and organizational agility.\n\nExpert in user research methodologies and the ability to translate research findings into actionable design strategies.\n\nStrong understanding of interaction design principles, data visualization, and information architecture.\n\nProven ability to work in a fast paced environment.\n\nExperience working on large-scale, complex projects, and agile development processes.\n\nExpert in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make, etc.), with fluency in Claude skills.\n\nExperience with accessibility standards (WCAG).\n\nNice to have:\nExperience with SaaS products\n\nThis is a new role.What you will find here:\nCompensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
