This role is available to candidates across US and Canada, excluding Quebec. If you are local to one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto) you will be expected to be in office minimum once per week on one of our Anchor Days.\nWhat your team does\nDesign plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering. Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviours and needs of our users. They act as user experience champions as we work to transform the way lawyers and their staff provide services to their clients. If you’re focused on shipping value to customers with an opportunity to revolutionize an industry, you’ve found your next team.\nOur Platform team is working hard to build the critical foundational systems and features that enable all of Clio to deliver value to our customers. We are in the process of seamlessly integrating our products so that users and their data flow through our system without friction.\nThis role will be part of the platform team that is responsible for unifying core experiences across all of our product surfaces.\nWhat you’ll do\nDevelop and design concepts, prototypes, hi-fidelity mockups and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes.\nWork alongside product management and engineering to understand the right problems to solve, and find the right solutions to them.\nBe able to craft a compelling vision with engaging storytelling to drive excitement and alignment for the impact the vision can deliver.\nCoordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholder teams to unify different experiences in separate products into a single cohesive one.\nBe able to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and be able to ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions.\nCoach and mentor fellow designers on a range of design practices.\nProvide thoughtful feedback in team critiques.\nBreak down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces.\nWrite research plans and conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis.\nLeverage product data and metrics to drive design decisions and measure product success.\nWhat you’ll bring\nExcellent communication and engaging storytelling skills.\n5+ years experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related discipline. SaaS experience is a bonus.\nExperience as an interactive designer with product experience. SaaS experience is a bonus.\nA track record of successfully shipping products, solving customer problems and moving company metrics, and delivering incremental value with velocity.\nDeep understanding of good user experience, IA, and visual design.\nExpertise in modern design and prototyping tools, and practical fluency with AI tools in your workflow (e.g., Figma Make, Cursor, Claude, etc.)\nA strong understanding of web technologies.\nA design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design.\nHumility plus strong opinions that are loosely held.\n#LI-Remote.\nThis role is a backfill for an existing position.What you will find here:\nCompensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
