Every people manager at Clio is expected to lead with context, set the pace, and own the outcome - giving their team the clarity to move fast, the authority to decide, and the accountability to deliver.\nA day in the life might look like:\nCollaborating with your triad to understand the challenges our business faces, identify the most impactful opportunities, and craft a roadmap for the team\nWorking with your team on designing technical solutions\nGiving actionable feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and more to support team members in making sound technical decisions for their projects\nActively participating as a contributor to the project, including shipping code\nHaving 1:1 meetings with direct reports to make sure they are supported in their career growth and development goals\nActively participating in hiring to grow engineering team at Clio\nReviewing code contributed by members from your team or other Clio developers reaching out to you for your expertise with a given technology or pattern\nYou may be a fit for this role if you have:\nDemonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large scale SaaS products\nA strong background in hands-on software development\nDiverse breadth of knowledge that allows you to help your team solve complex technical problems\nThe ability to describe successful projects you worked on, as well as a collection of lessons learned from failed projects\nDemonstrated ability to hire the best and brightest engineers in a fast-paced job market, and to coach, develop, and retain engineering talent\nYou are equally energized by both your own technical work as well as contributing to the career growth of your team\nYou have strong opinions that are loosely held, and foster that same attitude in others\nYou believe in providing honest, actionable feedback to your team, and encourage your team to reciprocate\nYou devise roadmaps to guide your team, but aren't beholden to them - you easily adapt to a constantly changing world\nGrowth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI\nSerious bonus points if you have:\nA philosophy on what makes for great software development teams\nExperience with CRM products at scale\nExperience with Ruby on Rails or Python\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy.\nWhat you will find here:\nCompensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
