Candidates must be willing and able to work at any assigned LACCD college or site location and make site visits as project needs require.\nPosition Description:\nProvide technical and administrative support for the Program Management Office (PMO) Construction Department and the District Facilities, Planning, and Development (FPD) department, exclusively on Bond-funded projects.\nTrack and follow up on RFIs and submittals with the owner, design team, and construction team as required during the design, pre-bid, and construction phases.\nPerform internal reviews of Change Orders (CO), Field Orders (FO), and other contractual documents for Districtwide design/construction projects.\nCoordinate with PMO staff and District FPD on the review and processing of Change Orders for all active construction projects.\nPerform detailed review of Change Order documents for completeness and accuracy.\nParticipate in coordination meetings to facilitate timely reviews.\nMaintain Change Order logs and other tracking documents for PMO and LACCD FPD use and reference.\nRead and interpret construction plans and drawings.\nAssist in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management review.\nCollect, track, and review lessons learned, and submit them for closeout and management review.\nMonitor changes and revisions to ensure timely processing of Change Orders and Field Orders.\nSubmit COs and FOs for final PMO and District approval.\nReview and follow Standard Operating Procedures for CO processing.\nFacilitate resolution of conflicts and issues to maintain timely workflow.\nAssist in coordination meetings with the District Office and stakeholders.\nGenerate and distribute meeting minutes to confirm discussions.\nMaintain electronic files and records for all reviews.\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nMaintain a log of daily tasks and submit it monthly to management for review.\nPerform other relatively similar administrative duties as directed by the PMO and District FPD.\nRequirements\nMinimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar role or position in construction\nBS/BA degree in construction, engineering, or architecture. Four (4) years of additional qualifying experience in excess of the minimum years stated above may be substituted for the required education.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint\nExperience using Bluebeam and Adobe software for document reviews/mark-ups\nAbility to work in a team environment\nAbility to take initiative and make sound decisions\nAbility to effectively manage daily work effort\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working on tenant improvement projects\nPrevious experience with Change Orders and supporting documentation\nPrevious experience with educational projects\nExperience working on a large client program\nExperience working on multiple projects simultaneously\nExperience with Prolog, Trimble Unity Construct (formerly e-Builder), Proliance, or other PMIS systems\nExperience with Adobe Acrobat Sign (formerly Adobe E-Sign)\nBenefits\nOffered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
