We value ambition, dedication, and innovation, and believe in building a network of talented individuals who share our commitment to making a difference.\nPosition Title: Senior Project Manager I\nLocation: Los Angeles Unified School District (This position is on-site in Los Angeles, California and candidates must be willing and able to commute to the office and make site visits as necessary)\nDuties:\nResolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements\nDevelops, assigns, and monitors performance of OARs relative to assigned construction projects\nReviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules\nReviews change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact on the district\nAssists Regional Directors and other Facilities management staff with bid and contract planning\nAssesses bid specifications according to District needs and probability of completion under stated timeline\nReviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting\nReviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects\nProvides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control\nReviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultants\nCoordinates program activities with other District organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Facilities Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations, and local districts\nReviews and takes recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects\nDevelops and recommends internal policies and procedures\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nRequirements\nTwenty (20) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experience\nTen (10) of the 20 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)\nFive (5) years’ experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)\nOR\nTwenty-five (25) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experience\nTwenty (20) of the 25 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)\nFive (5) years’ experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)\nAdditional Preferred Experience\nDesign Build Experience\nExperience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)\nExperience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)\nExperience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes\nRequired Education\n20-year path:\nGraduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management\nA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) may substitute for the education requirement\n25-year path:\nPreferred (Not Required): Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management\nPreferred (Not Required): A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)\nPreferred Licenses and Certificates\nA valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors\nBenefits\nCLMI Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
