As a Back-end Engineer, you will contribute to the core of this platform, designing and building the functionalities that make our AI solutions robust and reliable, while keeping our development processes efficient.\nYour mission is to engineer the back-end systems that form the backbone of our AI platform. This is a hands-on role in developing, deploying, and managing the various (cloud- and edge-based) components of the platform, with a strong focus on scalability, efficiency, and innovation.\nWhat you will do\nPlatform Architecture & Application Design\nYou will be jointly responsible for designing and detailing the technical architecture of new applications within our AI platform.\n\nYou will build new applications from concept to realization, for example, in the areas of data management, annotation, and model training.\n\nConsult with stakeholders and translate functional needs into robust and scalable technical designs.\n\nDesign user-friendly interfaces for AI tools, dashboards, and workflows (e.g., documenting in Figma) in collaboration with colleagues.\n\nBackend & Development\nDevelop the core of our AI platform through robust back-end services in Python (FastAPI/Django).\n\nDesign and integrate scalable REST/GraphQL APIs to expose our solutions.\n\nDesign and manage performant relational databases (Postgres).\n\nCloud, DevOps & Deployment\nDesign and develop robust, scalable cloud architectures (Azure/AWS).\n\nPlay a crucial role in the setup and management of containerized workflows (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.\n\nActively contribute to the deployment of AI models to both cloud and edge environments, in collaboration with our AI Engineers.\n\nEngineering Culture & Full-Stack Contribution\nContribute to the front-end of modern web apps (using technologies like React and TypeScript) when projects require it.\n\nWork closely in a small, technically strong team.\n\nIndependently make decisions and initiate improvements in our code, architecture, and development processes, with a focus on operational excellence.\n\nRequirements\nWhat we are looking for\nOur ideal candidate is an experienced and driven engineer who excels in building scalable back-end systems.
