You’ll own the close, stitch together AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations, then ship reporting that blends variance insight with plain-English commentary. Along the way you’ll standardize checklists, codify playbooks, and turn “oops” into automation.\nIf you like turning chaos into order and insights into action - welcome.\nTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE\nYou’ve closed books for U.S. entities and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision\n\nYou balance precision with practicality - you know when to dive deep and when to move fast\n\nYou enjoy creating order (SOPs, templates, checklists) and love clean ledgers and tidy reconciliations\n\nYou’re tech-curious and look for ways to automate routine work and reduce errors\n\nYou build trust with clients through consistent delivery, transparency, and simple explanations\n\nWHAT YOU’LL OWN\nFinancial Reporting\nYour reports tell a story leaders can act on.\nPrepare timely balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash-flow statements with variance analysis and plain-English insights\n\nBuild budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor burn and runway for SMB clients\n\nJoin standing client calls, translate financials into plain English, and proactively flag risks and opportunities\n\nBooks & Reconciliations\nPrecision is your baseline, not your ceiling.\nManage the books end-to-end: AP/AR, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and the general ledger\n\nReconcile bank, credit card, merchant, and loan accounts; investigate and clear discrepancies\n\nRun payroll accurately: calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings; coordinate approvals; ensure on-time processing\n\nMaintain organized, audit-ready files and strong documentation across periods and entities\n\nProcess & Systems\nBuild the playbooks.
