If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.\nWe are looking for a (Senior) Financial Controller to join our team in Helsinki. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with a builder mentality - comfortable rolling up their sleeves, improving processes, and working across multiple countries and stakeholders.\nYou will take ownership of core financial controlling (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) while also contributing to finance projects and the ongoing development of our outsourced finance function.\nYou'll be part of a positive, collaborative international team. The role reports to the Head of Finance and is based at our Helsinki office.\nAs Cloud Protection demerged recently from WithSecure, the role has an “entrepreneurial” component in it: there’s a lot to build to gradually gain ownership of the Cloud Protection own processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn and manage P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow in close relationship with the outsourced accounting provider\nEnsure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across multiple countries\nParticipation to budgeting and forecasting\nSupport and contribute to finance transformation and improvement projects\nManage and optimize the outsourcing of finance function activities\nHandle tax-related matters in coordination with local advisors/authorities\nAct as a key point of contact for external partners (auditors, tax advisors, outsourcing providers)\nInvolvement in the internal control schedule in order to manage the risks of our operations\nCollaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations\nMore generally, you will be involved in ad-hoc analysis needed by the Head of Finance, related to company-wide projects, financial reporting, improvement of processes, costs analysis, etc.\nWhat are we looking for?\nExperience & background\n4-7 years of relevant experience, ideally starting in a Big 4 firm, followed by corporate experience\nRelevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, or related field (master’s)\nExperience working on finance projects (systems, process improvement, transformation, etc.)\nExperience with outsourced finance function\nExperience managing or coordinating finance across multiple countries\nSolid, hands-on knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Financial norms (IFRS)\nWorking knowledge of tax matters\nHands-on experience with Salesforce is an advantage\nFamiliarity with billing/finance systems (e.g., Workday or similar) is a plus\nSkills\nFluent written and spoken English (other languages such as Finnish seen beneficial)\nProficiency with MS Office\nConfidence with the use of AI tools\nStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, including during peak periods (e.g., month-end/quarter-end)\nPersonal qualities\nHands-on, with a builder / can-do attitude\nSelf-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving\nA strong team player who is equally effective working independently\nA clear, professional communicator across departments and with external partners\nPositive, resilient, and able to perform well under pressure\nIf you don’t tick every box above, don’t worry - we’re more interested in your potential and willingness to learn.\nThe salary displayed on this page represents the starting point for the role.
