You will own the day-to-day operations of our private cloud platform - monitoring health, managing resources, enforcing governance, and ensuring consumers get reliable, efficient service. You will also contribute to our wider infrastructure operations, supporting compute and storage services across data center environments. This is a hands-on operational role with real ownership. You are the person between the platform and its users - keeping it running well, holding consumers accountable for efficiency, and reporting clearly on operational state.\nAs a Private Cloud & Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will:\nMonitor platform health, utilisation, and capacity across all private cloud environments\n\nManage compute provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle operations\n\nTrack resource utilisation and deliver reporting - driving efficiency and accountability\n\nManage quotas, resolve capacity issues, and plan for growth\n\nProvide first-line operational support - triage incidents, apply known fixes, escalate appropriately\n\nEnforce operational standards, access controls, and governance policies\n\nManage environment intake and provisioning for consumers\n\nSupport compute and storage infrastructure operations (server lifecycle, Ceph storage, shared services)\n\nMaintain operational documentation and runbooks\n\nParticipate in on-call rotation for infrastructure services\n\nContribute to infrastructure efficiency and automation initiatives\n\nWe are excited if you have (Required Experience):\nRelevant studies / BS or MS in related field or equivalent experience\n\n3+ years operating cloud or virtualised infrastructure at scale\n\nStrong Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)\n\nHands-on experience with distributed storage (Ceph preferred) or SAN operations\n\nExperience with monitoring stacks, dashboards, alerting, and capacity planning\n\nVirtualisation experience (KVM, VMware, or similar)\n\nA governance mindset - comfortable enforcing standards, reporting compliance, holding consumers accountable for waste\n\nAbility to author and maintain clear runbooks, procedures, and operational documentation\n\nStrong communication -
