The team builds the control plane, Kubernetes operators, APIs, and web interfaces that run popular open-source query engines like Trino over table formats such as Apache Iceberg. This is an exciting opportunity to work on products that handle complex SQL query workloads on public or private clouds. The role is full stack: Go services and Kubernetes operators on the backend, React and TypeScript on the frontend.\nAs a Sr. Software Engineer, you will:\nWork on the services that provision, configure, scale, and monitor SQL warehouses on Kubernetes, in a distributed team of full-stack engineers\nDesign and build Go backend services: OpenAPI-defined REST and gRPC APIs, long-running lifecycle workflows and PostgreSQL-backed state\nBuild Kubernetes operators that run Trino from custom resources: controllers, CRD design, layered configuration and Helm-based deployment\nBuild web applications with React and TypeScript for managing warehouses, browsing catalogs and monitoring queries and cluster health\nOwn features end to end, from design through testing, rollout, and production support, as containerized services across Kubernetes flavors such as EKS, AKS, and OpenShift.\nWrite design documentation for key features and capabilities\nImprove code quality through writing tests, automation, and code reviews\nUnderstand the customer's workload and provide effective technical solutions\nWe’re excited about you if you have:\nBS or MS in Computer Science or a related field\n5+ years of relevant industry experience designing and developing enterprise software with a strong understanding of scaling and performance\nClean coding habits, attention to detail, and a focus on quality\nHands-on programmer with strong data structures and algorithms skills. Strong Go experience is required; Java experience is desired\nExperience building Kubernetes operators with client-go and controller-runtime or kubebuilder, including CRD design and Helm\nExperience building backend services with OpenAPI-defined REST or gRPC APIs and PostgreSQL\nExperience building web applications with React and TypeScript\nWorking knowledge of SQL and of operating a query engine such as Trino or similar engines: configuration, catalogs, coordinator and worker topology\nPractitioner of automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and CI/CD\nSelf-driven with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship, along with a high bias for action\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAbility to work effectively on cross-functional projects\nYou may also have:\nJava experience, especially understanding or extending Trino or similar engine\nExperience with service meshes such as Istio and Kubernetes autoscaling (KEDA)\nExperience with Kerberos, LDAP or SAML, Apache Ranger, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry\nExperience with Redux or JavaScript codebases adopting TypeScript, and with Playwright or Jest\nExperience with GitOps and OCI registries\nWhat you
