There is a lot happening, priorities evolve, and requirements do not always arrive as a complete specification.\nWe value independence, initiative and pragmatic problem-solving. We are looking for someone who knows how to ask the right questions, understand the real problem behind a requirement, propose a sensible solution and take it all the way to production - without unnecessary bureaucracy.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDesigning and evolving the architecture of our IAM services.\nDeveloping backend components responsible for authentication, authorisation, identity management and access control.\nDesigning APIs and integrations between IAM services and other parts of the CloudFerro platform.\nDesigning solutions for multi-tenant environments and systems operating at scale.\nWorking closely with the Product Manager to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.\nBuilding prototypes and proofs of concept for new ideas and technologies.\nExtending existing codebases and implementing new services and components.\nMaking architectural decisions with security, scalability, reliability and maintainability in mind.\nMaintaining high engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, refactoring and solid software development practices.\nDiagnosing complex issues at the intersection of applications, IAM and cloud infrastructure.\nCollaborating with other technical teams across the organisation.\nCreating and evolving technical documentation and architectural standards.\nWhat we’re looking for\nAt least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on experience designing system architecture.\nStrong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade backend services.\nExperience designing distributed systems and microservice architectures.\nPractical knowledge of identity and authentication standards and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0 and JWT.\nExperience designing and integrating REST APIs.\nGood knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes and cloud environments.\nExperience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.\nThe ability to analyse requirements and translate them into well-designed technical solutions.\nThe ability to make informed architectural decisions and clearly explain the trade-offs behind them.\nA strong sense of ownership -
