with product teams on some of our most technically demanding projects - including satellite data processing solutions for ESA.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDefining engineering standards: Establish architectural patterns and best practices across Observability, CI/CD, GitOps and Kubernetes.\nSupporting engineering teams: Provide hands-on technical guidance and consulting to development teams tackling complex technology, performance and integration challenges.\nShaping scalable solutions: Contribute proactively to the design of highly available and scalable systems, taking both technical and business requirements into account.\nDriving engineering quality: Promote clean coding practices in Python and Go, TDD, effective code reviews and the use of AI-powered tools to improve engineering workflows and productivity.\nTech stack & engineering standards\nCore & Code: Python, Go (experience or willingness to learn), Linux.\nObservability: Prometheus, Thanos / Prometheus Operator, ELK.\nCI/CD & GitOps: Argo CD, Git, OpenTofu.\nData & Messaging: PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ.\nNice to have: NATS, Temporal, OpenBao.\nWhat we’re looking for\nAt least 8 years of commercial software engineering experience, including building high-performance distributed systems and a strong understanding of the architectural challenges involved.\nStrong proficiency in Python or Go, with a solid understanding of clean code principles and high engineering standards.\nA good understanding of Kubernetes from an application perspective, including the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Kubernetes environments.\nHands-on experience designing and implementing standards for CI/CD, GitOps and Observability, particularly with Prometheus and Thanos.\nThe ability to share knowledge, lead constructive technical discussions and support other engineers in solving complex problems.\nA university degree in Computer Science or a related field and good working proficiency in
