If you thrive on ownership, enjoy turning manual processes into automated ones, and want to grow across cloud, security, and platform engineering, we would love to connect.\nWhat You'll Own\nCloud Solutions \nDesign and deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions in Azure, AWS, and modern containerized environments. \nSupport and improve production applications, services, and cloud infrastructure. \nContribute to technical innovation and modernization across customer environments. \nAutomation & Delivery \nBuild and enhance CI/CD pipelines that accelerate delivery while improving security and reliability. \nDevelop automation that reduces operational overhead and eliminates repetitive tasks. \nCreate maintainable scripts and infrastructure-as-code solutions using modern engineering practices. \nReliability & Security \nTroubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions. \nImprove system performance, resiliency, observability, and security posture. \nParticipate in on-call support rotations for production workloads as needed. \nCustomer & Team Impact \nPartner with customers, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. \nCommunicate technical decisions, risks, and progress \nShare knowledge, contribute to team learning, and take ownership of meaningful work. \nWhat Success Looks Like\nDuring the first 6 months, you will: \nBuild a working understanding of CloudFit customer environments, engineering practices, and production support expectations. \nContribute independently to cloud, automation, and operational work with general guidance on new initiatives. \nDeliver secure, maintainable changes through established development and deployment processes. \nParticipate effectively in troubleshooting, incident response, and customer collaboration. \nDuring months 6 through 18, you will: \nTake ownership of assigned technical work, determining the appropriate approach and progressing solutions from implementation through production support. \nApply knowledge and judgment to solve a variety of technical challenges, including some that are moderately complex. \nContinue building expertise across cloud, platform, and DevSecOps disciplines while contributing independently and seeking guidance primarily on new or unfamiliar work. \nLonger term, you will help CloudFit deliver more secure, reliable, and scalable customer solutions while expanding your technical impact across the team.\nWhat We're Looking For \n1-6 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. \nExperience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. \nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies. \nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins. \nExperience writing scripts or code in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or a similar language. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to determine an effective approach. \nA builder mindset, strong ownership, and a desire to continuously learn and improve. \nPreferred: Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, or security certifications; experience with SIEM tools, cloud security, or compliance frameworks; or an active Federal Security Clearance.\nAdditional Requirements\nUS Citizenship is required. \nMust be able to report on-site in Lynchburg, VA. \nAbility to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance. \nAbility to travel to support customers in secure or air-gapped environments. \nParticipation in on-call support rotations may be required. \nAbility to meet customer-specific access, credential, or security requirements when applicable. \nKey Partners\nYou will collaborate closely with customers, DevSecOps and software engineers, architects, project teams, and other partners responsible for delivering and supporting secure, mission-critical cloud solutions.\nThe salary range for this role is $75,799.92 - $143,599.92 + benefits, & perks.\nPlease note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and location.
