As part of a small, agile team, you'll own features from design through deployment and support while growing your technical skills and influence.\nThis role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and using sound judgment to deliver reliable software with general guidance.\nWhat You'll Own\nFeature Delivery\nBuild, test, deploy, and maintain software features and services.\n\nOwn assigned features across the development lifecycle, from requirements through production support.\n\nBalance quality, maintainability, and delivery timelines when making technical decisions.\n\nEngineering Quality and Reliability\nApply engineering best practices through code reviews, source control, testing, deployment, and production support.\n\nTroubleshoot application and production issues and contribute to system reliability and performance.\n\nParticipate in the on-call rotation for production platform support.\n\nCollaboration and Customer Impact\nPartner with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate needs into deployable software.\n\nContribute to Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and cross-team mentoring.\n\nTravel occasionally to support customers in secure or air-gapped environments.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nDuring the first 6 months, you will:\nLearn CloudFit's products, development practices, and customer environment.\n\nDeliver well-tested features with increasing independence.\n\nParticipate effectively in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, deployment, and support activities.\n\nDuring months 6 through 18, you will:\nIndependently deliver software features and enhancements from implementation through production support, using sound judgment to determine the appropriate approach.\n\nSolve a variety of technical challenges, including some that are moderately complex, within established architectural and engineering practices.\n\nDemonstrate growing technical proficiency while contributing to code quality, reliability, and continuous improvement efforts across the team.\n\nLonger term, you will continue expanding your technical depth and influence by delivering reliable solutions, applying sound engineering judgment, and contributing to the success of CloudFit's products and engineering practices.\nWhat We're Looking For\n1-6 years of relevant software development experience.\n\nExperience building applications with modern programming languages and frameworks.\n\nUnderstanding software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and system design.\n\nExperience developing or consuming REST APIs and working with unit and integration tests.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile development and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.\n\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and follow existing architecture patterns with general guidance.\n\nExperience participating in customer-facing technical discussions.\n\nPreferred: Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP; C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or observability tools.
