About the Role

Senior Sales Director - Enterprise, Benelux

Drive Growth. Build Elite Teams. Lead with Operational Rigor.

This isn’t just a quota-carrying leadership role-it’s a rare opportunity to architect a premier enterprise sales engine for Cloudflare in the Benelux region. Reporting directly to the Area VP, you’ll lead both our Named and Major Accounts teams in the Netherlands, driving strategy, hiring top talent, and scaling revenue while preserving the high-performance culture we’re known for.

This role is for builders and strategic sparring partners, not maintainers. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in rapidly changing, hyper-growth environments and brings intense operational rigor to the team. You are a modern leader-someone who understands how to leverage AI tools to analyze data for coaching, accelerate the sales process, and help reps tailor highly contextual business proposals to every customer's unique needs. You will lead from the front, designing GTM strategies, running tight qualification frameworks, and helping your team see new perspectives to unlock complex enterprise deals.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Own

• Bring Operational Rigor & Scale - Instill execution excellence across the team by embedding frameworks like MEDDPICC deeply into the sales cycle, ensuring accurate forecasting, and driving high-velocity pipeline generation.
• Be the Ultimate Deal Sparring Partner - Act as a strategic sounding board for your team. Regularly review account plans, challenge assumptions, help reps see blind spots, and actively coach them on navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
• Drive the Programmable Enterprise Playbook - Empower your team to disrupt rigid, checklist-driven RFP cycles by changing the narrative. You will coach reps to position Cloudflare not just as a standard vendor, but as an agile, programmable platform. While we deliver market-leading security and performance out of the box, our true differentiation is programmability. Help your team show Benelux CIOs and CTOs that instead of waiting months in a legacy vendor's engineering queue for a feature request, their teams can write code natively on Cloudflare to seamlessly tailor our services to their exact environment from day one.
• Drive Modern Sales Innovation - Equip and guide the team to leverage modern AI tools to accelerate the sales cycle-using data-driven insights for sharp coaching, and employing AI to hyper-tailor business proposals to specific customer challenges.
• Build & Scale a Team of A-Players - Recruit, onboard, and develop enterprise sellers who consistently exceed quota, while helping them build a strong internal network across Cloudflare's global organization.
• Craft & Own the Market - Define the enterprise playbook for the Benelux, from territory design to C-suite engagement, leveraging your existing local network to accelerate market footprint.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Your Superpowers

• Proven Enterprise Sales Leader - 7+ years of experience managing and scaling teams in cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise infrastructure, ideally backed by a strong existing network in the Benelux market.
• Operational Rigor & MEDDPICC Expert - Deeply operational and process-driven; you know how to run a predictable enterprise forecast and use qualification frameworks to inspect and elevate deals.
• The Strategic Coach - A passion for deal strategy and people development. You don't just manage KPIs; you get into the trenches to help reps reframe value and build complex business cases.
• High-Level Architectural & Platform Literacy - Fluency in modern cloud infrastructure and an understanding of why the industry is moving from rigid appliances to programmable edge networks. You can confidently grasp how Zero Trust architectures, Cloud Networking (SASE/SD-WAN), application security, and edge programmability impact an enterprise's strategy. You don't need to write code, but you know how to talk to a CISO or CTO about the power of native custom development vs. legacy vendor engineering lines.
• Tech-Forward & Adaptable - Forward-thinking about how technology can optimize sales. You understand how to use AI and data analytics to drive better decision-making, speed up deal velocity, and personalize client engagement.
• Hyper-Growth Mindset - You thrive in fast-paced, fluid environments, possess a bias toward action, and love solving unstructured challenges.
• Language & Mobility - Fluent in Dutch and English; able to travel within EMEA as needed.

Compensation

For Netherlands based hires: Estimated annual salary is between €248,000 - €341,000.

This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
