You will drive automation and build tooling to enable Cloudflare to continue growing our infrastructure footprint.\nResponsibilities\nDesign & Scale Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust distributed systems, focusing on high availability, low latency, and horizontal scalability.\n\nOptimize Performance: Analyze system bottlenecks, optimize kernel and network stacks, and fine-tune resource utilization across global server fleets.\n\nDrive Automation: Build and maintain internal tools and automation frameworks to streamline infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.\n\nEnsure Reliability: Participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and proactive system health monitoring to guarantee maximum uptime and resilience.\n\nCollaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Security, Network Engineering, and Product teams to integrate infrastructure solutions smoothly across the entire stack.\n\nDesirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience\nDemonstrable professional experience building and managing large-scale distributed systems or Linux production environments.\n\nProficiency in at least one systems programming or scripting language with a track record of writing clean, maintainable code.\n\nExperience using AI to optimize your daily work.\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a methodical approach to diagnosing complex system-level failures.\n\nBonus Points\nExperience managing containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes, Docker, or similar orchestration platforms.\n\nExperience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack).\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies for infrastructure.\n\nWhat Makes Cloudflare Special?\nWe’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company.
