This role requires the management of all aspects of mechanical system delivery, including HVAC systems, cooling infrastructure, fire suppression systems, and fuel delivery systems.\nOperating as part of CloudHQ’s Construction Management team, the Mechanical Project Manager ensures the successful execution of mechanical scopes while maintaining safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with industry regulations. The candidate will work closely with contractors, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of reliable and scalable mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPlan and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.\nEnsure all mechanical systems meet CloudHQ’s technical standards, tenant-specific requirements, and compliance with local codes and sustainability regulations.\nTroubleshoot and resolve construction challenges during installation, ensuring mechanical scopes stay aligned with project schedules.\nReview construction drawings and specifications for compliance and constructability, ensuring smooth execution during the installation phase.\nOversee and monitor project-specific plans for mechanical scopes, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and cost management.\nCoordinate with general contractors to ensure mechanical equipment procurement, delivery, and installation align with construction milestones.\nConduct on-site inspections, monitoring progress and ensuring work adheres to designs, contracts, and applicable building codes.\nFacilitate regular project meetings, ensuring risks are identified early and mitigation plans are implemented effectively.\nCollaborate closely with commissioning teams to ensure mechanical systems are construction ready.\nManage relationships with general contractors, vendors, and suppliers for mechanical systems, ensuring proper execution and adherence to contracts.\nEnsure mechanical equipment is delivered on time and meets quality standards specified in the project scope.\nMonitor and evaluate contractor performance, addressing issues to ensure successful project delivery.\nEnsure all electrical construction activities fully comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and CloudHQ standards for safety and performance.\nEnforce strict adherence to contractor safety protocols during both installation and commissioning phases.\nPromote a culture of safety on site and work closely with HSE teams to implement and monitor safety practices.\nEnsure sustainability practices and energy-efficient design principles are integrated into electrical infrastructure.\nProvide subject matter expertise in mechanical construction design and installation phases.\nOversee factory witness testing and on-site commissioning of critical systems.\nLead value engineering efforts to optimize mechanical system costs while maintaining energy efficiency, performance, and reliability.\nSafety & Regulatory Compliance\nEnforce strict compliance with building codes, health and safety standards, and CloudHQ’s corporate protocols for mechanical construction.\nMonitor site activities to ensure contractors and subcontractors adhere to environmental sustainability practices and follow fire impairment safety processes.\nChampion a culture of safety across all construction teams, reducing risks during mechanical system installation and testing.\nProvide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders, detailing risks, opportunities, and milestones for mechanical system installations during construction phases.\nMaintain comprehensive records for project schedules, compliance activities, and metrics related to mechanical scopes.\nDeliver post-project reports, summarizing lessons learned, remaining actions, and recommendations for continuous improvement\nRequired Experience & Qualifications:\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in construction management roles focusing on mechanical systems for data centers, industrial facilities, or other large-scale projects.\nExperience in commissioning processes for mechanical systems in high-tech or mission-critical environments.\nExtensive knowledge of design, installation, and testing of mechanical systems for data centers or other mission-critical facilities.\nFamiliarity with mechanical redundancy principles and energy efficiency strategies for scalable infrastructure.\nConstruction Management Knowledge\nProven experience managing large-scale mechanical scopes during the construction phase of data centers or similar industrial facilities.\nSkilled in monitoring contractor performance, resolving construction conflicts, and driving successful project outcomes on-site.\nFamiliarity with building codes, permitting systems, and sustainability regulations governing mechanical systems for critical infrastructure projects.\nProficiency in mechanical engineering tools.\nAbility to independently manage complex construction schedules and risk strategies while delivering mechanical systems on time and within scope\nProficiency in project tracking tools.\nStrong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, suppliers, and CloudHQ stakeholders, during construction execution.\nEffective communicator capable of providing actionable insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.\nProactive problem solver, capable of addressing challenges during critical project milestones while ensuring smooth delivery of systems.\nPreferred
