This is a paid, full-time graduate role and a first step into professional engineering. You’ll work on real products, learn alongside experienced engineers and deepen your technical skills in areas such as Linux, open-source software and security.\nWe’re looking for people who combine strong independent thinking with the ability to use AI confidently to tackle complex technical problems - understanding unfamiliar code, developing solutions and critically evaluating the results.\nWho we are\nCloudLinux is a global remote-first company. We are driven by our principles: do the right thing, employees first, we are remote first, and we deliver high-volume, low-cost Linux infrastructure and security products that help companies to increase the efficiency of their operations. Every person on our team supports each other and does what we can to ensure we all are successful.\nCheck out our website for more information.\nWhat you'll do\nYou’ll join an engineering team working on Linux infrastructure and security for web hosting. Our products include CloudLinux OS, which helps hosting providers manage server resources and isolate hosting accounts, and Imunify, which protects servers and websites against malware and attacks.\nYou don’t need prior experience in these specific areas. We’re looking for strong engineering potential - how you approach unfamiliar problems, learn quickly and use AI thoughtfully. We’ll consider your challenge results, interests and strengths alongside the opportunities available across our engineering teams.\nExperienced engineers on your team will help you get to know our codebase, tools and the way we work.\nDepending on the team you join, your work may include:\nDeveloping and testing product features, fixes and engineering tools.\nInvestigating production issues, tracing their causes and implementing reliable solutions.\nReading unfamiliar code and understanding how different parts of a system interact.\nImproving automation for building, testing and delivering software.\nContributing to code reviews and technical discussions.\nRequirements\nWhat we’re looking for:\nPractical programming skills in at least one language, such as C, C++, Python or Go, whether from coursework, personal projects or early hands-on experience.\nStrong analytical thinking, solid fundamentals in algorithms and data structures, and a structured approach to solving problems.\nThe ability to use AI tools to work through unfamiliar programming problems, critically assess and improve their output, and explain and test the resulting solution.\nCuriosity, the ability to learn independently, and persistence when a solution isn’t immediately clear.\nCare for code quality and the ability to carry a task through to a working, tested solution.\nClear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions.\nEnglish at B2 level or higher.\nWe’re looking for people at the very start of their engineering careers. We’re open to:\nFinal-year students.\nRecent graduates.\nThis is a full-time position, including for candidates who are still completing their studies.\nWhat may help you stand out\nAny of the following can strengthen your application, although none is mandatory:\nA degree (or final-year standing) in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent skills you can demonstrate through your projects and code.\nPersonal or academic software projects, especially ones whose design decisions you can explain.\nContributions to open-source projects, even small ones.\nParticipation in CTF competitions, hackathons, or a homelab you administer.\nEvidence that you’ve taught yourself a language, stack or system in depth because a problem demanded it.\nA strong interest in Linux, operating systems, networking or security - including relevant coursework, a thesis, research or personal projects.\nIf your CV doesn’t fully capture your potential, apply anyway. Show us what you’ve built, the hard problems you’ve solved, and what makes you different from other engineers at a similar stage of their career.\nHow selection works\nWhat you build counts for more than your CV.\nApply in a couple of minutes - autofill from your CV or LinkedIn.\nWe take a quick first look at each application. Candidates who look like a fit get a personal link to our engineering challenge, which carries the most weight in our assessment. You can start whenever you’re ready within the access window.\nYou’ll have up to 3 hours for the challenge. It is modelled on a real problem from our security products - one our engineers have already solved in production. Your work won’t be used in our products; it is used only to assess your approach and skills.\nThe task unfolds in phases, with changing requirements. It is deliberately larger than anyone can finish - we look at what you prioritise and why, not at whether you complete every part.\nAI tools are expected, not just allowed. We’re interested in your judgment: what you accept, reject and verify, and how you defend your trade-offs.\nCandidates whose challenge results demonstrate a strong match are invited to interview with our senior engineers and HR.\nThe challenge is designed to give you an opportunity to demonstrate your practical skills, judgment and potential.\nBenefits\nWhat's in it for you?\nFully remote work with flexible hours - schedule your day and work from anywhere in the world.\n24 paid vacation days a year, 10 national holidays, and unlimited sick leave.\nCompensation for private medical insurance.\nCo-working and gym/sports reimbursement.\nA dedicated education budget.\nA reward for the most innovative idea the company can patent.\nA real focus on professional development, on interesting and challenging projects.\nBy applying for this position, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy ( https://cloudlinux.com/candidate-privacy-notice), which provides detailed information on how we maintain and handle your data.","description_format":"text","description_chars":6110,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Upper-Intermediate (B2)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Health insurance","Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Poland","iso":"PL","kind":"country"},{"name":"Serbia","iso":"RS","kind":"country"},{"name":"Armenia","iso":"AM","kind":"country"},{"name":"Georgia","iso":"GE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Operating Systems","Vulnerability Management","Web Security & DDoS Protection"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-28T20:16:36Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":6,"expected_fill_days":30,"reasons":["conf:2","velocity","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-11-04T06:34:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/cloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/cloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-04T09:38:43Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":14985,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-05T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":3432},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=3432"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fcloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fcloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fcloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/cloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fcloudlinux-graduate-engineer-remote-work"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3418506}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"cloudlinux.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3418506},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people);
