You will work alongside a Technical Lead to build features, improve reliability and support customer deployments. The platform includes configurable interfaces, data ingestion, normalization, scheduling, calculations and reporting. Each customer has an isolated application and PostgreSQL database. We are looking for an engineer who can independently investigate problems, deliver maintainable code and understand how changes affect customer data and operations. \nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain frontend features, backend services and APIs. \n\nBuild and improve data-ingestion workflows involving APIs, SFTP, object storage and uploaded files. \n\nImplement data validation, normalization and useful error reporting. \n\nMaintain scheduled jobs with attention to retries, duplicate processing, time zones and business calendars. \n\nWrite and optimize SQL and implement reviewed database migrations. \n\nPreserve versioned records, historical snapshots and audit trails. \n\nImplement server-side access controls and secure data handling. \n\nCreate unit and integration tests for business-critical workflows. \n\nInvestigate application and production issues, documenting causes and fixes. \n\nParticipate in code reviews, releases and technical documentation. \n\nCoordinate with the Technical Lead and DevOps specialists on installation and upgrade issues.\n\nRequirements\n\nDemonstrated experience independently delivering production full-stack features. \n\nStrong backend and frontend development skills. \n\nStrong PostgreSQL and SQL fundamentals. \n\nExperience building and consuming APIs and integrating external systems. \n\nExperience with background processing, scheduled tasks and error handling. \n\nPractical knowledge of authentication, authorization and secure development. \n\nExperience writing automated tests and working with Git and CI/CD. \n\nStrong debugging skills across application code, databases and integrations. \n\nClear communication and documentation skills. \n\nAbility to take ownership of assigned work within a small delivery team.\n\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with financial data, investment operations or other data-intensive B2B products. \n\nExperience with AWS-hosted applications and customer-specific deployments. \n\nFamiliarity with configurable interfaces and metadata-driven applications. \n\nExperience with append-only records, effective-dated data or slowly changing dimensions. \n\nExperience with document-processing workflows involving human review. \n\nExperience addressing findings from security assessments. \n\nFirst 90 days\nLearn the application and independently deliver agreed fixes and features. \n\nAdd meaningful tests to critical workflows. \n\nImprove the reliability and troubleshooting of selected integrations. \n\nContribute to release documentation and repeatable deployment procedures.\n\nEmployment requirementsEmployment is subject to verification of work authorization, employment history and professional references.
