We care about craft, openness, and transparency.\nThe Role\nAs Engineering Manager, you’ll lead high-performing teams delivering a large-scale, cloud-native application to software teams worldwide.\nYou’ll play a pivotal role in driving new features on our artifact management platform, scaling operations to support our continued growth, fostering a strong engineering culture, mentoring engineers in their professional development, and guiding ongoing improvements across engineering.\nYou should be technical enough to earn trust in architecture, design, and operational discussions with senior and principal engineers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDelivery & Execution\nLead the delivery of new product capabilities across multiple teams.\n\nMaximise business value by empowering teams to operate at peak performance and holding them accountable for their responsibilities.\n\nRemove blockers to success, troubleshooting and mediating to find solutions where required.\n\nStay focused on meeting commitments and delighting customers.\n\nTeam Leadership\nHelp individuals develop through effective coaching, 1:1s, mentoring, and career planning.\n\nPromote excellent communication within the team, based on trust, transparency, and honesty.\n\nAddress underperformance appropriately and with suitable urgency.\n\nTake an active role in hiring and growing the engineering team, laying the foundations for teams to execute successfully.\n\nStrategy & Stakeholders\nDevelop a strong understanding of product strategy and market needs, and share it with the teams actively and regularly.\n\nContribute to product strategy to maximise value for the business and our customers.\n\nEnsure each team understands its strategy and how its work connects to it.\n\nManage internal and external stakeholder needs and expectations.\n\nOwn change initiatives within engineering, ensuring they are introduced effectively and established sustainably.\n\nRequired Experience, Qualities & Skills\nNot everyone will have every one of these.
