Confirmed on the employer's own hiring board on Oct 22, 2026. First seen by Alion on Sep 21, 2026.
We are looking for a Creative Digital Designer to become an important part of our growing team and help us deliver consistently strong work for our clients.
This is not a background role where you will spend months working on one project. You will work across different clients, brands and formats, turning briefs and content plans into high-quality creative work that is ready to go out into the world.
Your main focus will be social content, video editing and client design work. You will also support presentations, reports, templates, campaign materials and occasional website or prototype design.
Speed and dependable delivery matter. We are not looking for someone who endlessly tweaks work in search of perfection. We need someone who cares about quality, understands the brief and gets good work out of the door on time.
About
The company is a strategic growth partner for businesses in the built environment.
We help construction, engineering, property and related businesses grow through better strategy, marketing, digital presence and client acquisition.
We are a growing team with ambitious plans, but we have no interest in behaving like a corporate business. People are trusted to do their jobs, encouraged to contribute ideas and expected to take responsibility for their work.
Our values sum us up:
Be Bold or Get Bored: Bring ideas, try things and do not settle for forgettable work.
No Bullsh*t: Communicate clearly, be honest and do what you say you are going to do.
Bring The Real You: We want to work with good people, not polished corporate personas.
Culture fit matters to us. Skills can develop, but attitude, reliability and how you work with other people are much harder to teach.
What you will be doing
You will work closely with our Marketing Executive, Angela, who will manage priorities, provide briefs and approve completed work. You will also receive creative direction from Mike, one of our Directors, when a project needs additional input.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing static posts, carousels and campaign content for social media
- Editing short-form videos, interviews, podcasts and social clips
- Adding subtitles, transitions, graphics and branded elements to video content
- Producing brochures, case studies, reports, infographics and other client materials
- Designing and formatting presentations, proposals and pitch decks
- Creating reusable templates that make future production faster
- Applying different client brand guidelines accurately and consistently
- Sourcing and preparing suitable imagery and supporting visual assets
- Resizing and adapting work for different platforms and formats
- Supporting occasional website layouts, UI concepts and clickable Figma prototypes
- Preparing organised design files and assets for colleagues and developers
- Managing several briefs and deadlines across different client accounts
- Checking your work carefully before submitting it for approval
- Editing, preparing and publishing podcast content through Riverside
- Preparing and optimising video content for YouTube and social distribution
You will mainly work on client projects. Internal work will generally be limited to social content and presentations.
Qualifications
What we need from you
We are looking for someone with:
- Professional experience in a digital, graphic or multidisciplinary design role
- A strong portfolio covering social media and digital design
- Confident Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience editing video using After Effects, Premiere Pro or CapCut
- Working knowledge of Figma
- A good understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy and brand consistency
- Experience working from established brand guidelines
- Strong written and spoken English
- Excellent attention to detail, including spelling, grammar and alignment
- The ability to understand a brief and ask useful questions when something is unclear
- Good time management and the ability to meet agreed deadlines
- The confidence to work independently once the direction has been agreed
- A reliable internet connection and suitable remote working environment
Agency experience would be useful because you will move between different clients and types of work, but it is not essential.
Useful additional experience
It would be an advantage if you already have experience using:
- Riverside for editing, preparing and publishing podcasts
- YouTube for uploading and optimising video content to improve reach and engagement
- ClickUp for managing tasks, communicating progress and accurately tracking time
Experience with these platforms is desirable rather than essential, but you must be comfortable learning new systems and following established processes.
The kind of person who will work well with us
You do not need to be the finished article, but you do need to be dependable.
You will suit this role if you:
- Take pride in producing good work
- Work at a sensible pace without becoming careless
- Take responsibility rather than waiting to be chased
- Communicate early when you have a question or spot a problem
- Can take direct feedback without becoming defensive
- Pay attention to the small details
- Want to improve and broaden your creative skills
- Are comfortable working as part of a close-knit remote team
- Bring your own personality, ideas and point of view
We are not looking for a senior creative director or someone expected to lead client strategy. We want a capable, adaptable designer who can take a clear brief and turn it into accurate, engaging work.
