Additionally, the Structural Engineer shall contribute to the continuous improvement of internal engineering processes and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in structural engineering within the Australian construction sector.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n Design and Analysis:Undertake structural analysis and design of building components, including foundations, steel frames, reinforced concrete elements, timber structures, and other structural systems.\nPrepare detailed structural calculations and design documentation in accordance with Australian Standards (AS), the National Construction Code (NCC), and other relevant codes of practice.\nUtilise advanced structural engineering software to model, analyse, and optimise structural designs for various project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.\nConduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations to support project planning and decision-making.\n\nDocumentation and Drafting:Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and engineering reports to a high standard of quality and accuracy.\nEnsure all documentation is compliant with Australian Standards, local council requirements, and client specifications.\nCoordinate with architects, building designers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural designs within the broader project framework.\nMaintain accurate records of design changes, revisions, and project correspondence.\n\n Project Coordination:Collaborate with project managers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural designs align with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.\nLiaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.\nParticipate in design reviews, site assessments (where applicable), and project meetings to ensure the successful delivery of engineering solutions.\n\n Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure all structural designs and documentation adhere to relevant Australian Standards, including but not limited to:AS 1170 (Structural Design Actions)\nAS 3600 (Concrete Structures)\nAS 4100 (Steel Structures)\nAS 1720 (Timber Structures)\nAS 2159 (Piling - Design and Installation)\nAS 4678 (Earth-Retaining Structures)\n\nConduct peer reviews of structural designs and calculations to maintain quality and accuracy.\nIdentify and mitigate potential structural risks, ensuring the safety and integrity of all designs.\n\nContinuous Improvement:Stay abreast of the latest developments in structural engineering practices, materials, and technologies.\nContribute to the improvement of internal engineering processes, templates, and standards.\nParticipate in professional development activities, including training, workshops, and industry events.\n\nQualifications\nQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:\nA Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline. A Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering is highly desirable.\nRegistered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (e.g., CPEng, NER, or equivalent) is advantageous.\nRelevant certifications or memberships with professional engineering bodies, such as Engineers Australia or equivalent, are preferred.\nSOFTWARE:\nProficiency in structural analysis and design software, including but not limited to:\nSAFE -
