At our core we are People People, thoughtfully trained to support clients, fellow team members and residents alike - always learning forward to create a positive living experience.\nAbout this role:\nThe Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in all aspects of operating an income-producing property, including administrative, leasing, financial, and maintenance functions. This position is designed as a training role to prepare the Assistant Manager for future opportunities as a Community Manager. The Community Assistant Manager represents the management company’s policies and serves as a role model to peers, ensuring compliance with State landlord-tenant laws and company standards.\nHourly pay range:\n$23.00 - $26.00 DOE\nWhat you’ll do - Includes but are not limited to:\nCompletes the daily transactions and tasks related to the financial operation of the community by collecting and posting rent, fees, and other payments, preparing daily bank deposits and reconciling bank accounts, preparing financial reports, and processing invoices and payables.\nOperates the property management software and completes transactions by entering all required fields correctly and by completing updates and back-ups to ensure the integrity of the system. Work closely with the Community Manager to learn property management operations, including administrative and financial duties.\nAssist in developing a cohesive on-site team that reflects the organization’s professionalism and quality.\nConduct regular inspections of common areas, apartment units, and grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with building and health codes.\nAssist with move-in and move-out administration, including thorough apartment inspections.\nUnderstand and support financial and operational reporting requirements.\nFinancial\nCollect rent payments and ensure timely deposits for all income, adhering to State laws regarding rent collection and notices.\nServe non-payment notices and follow up on delinquent accounts, coordinating eviction proceedings if necessary, under the guidance of the Community Manager.\nMaintain compliance with company accounting standards, including weekly and monthly reports.\nLeasing and Marketing\nPromote available units by responding to inquiries, conducting tours, and showcasing property amenities.\nAssist in completing and maintaining accurate leasing documents in compliance with Fair Housing laws.\nMonitor competitive properties and market conditions to recommend pricing adjustments and marketing strategies.\nSupport resident retention programs, including lease renewals and community engagement activities.\nLeadership\nProvide support and guidance to the on-site team, addressing operational challenges effectively.\nAssume management responsibilities in the absence of the Community Manager.\nEnsure compliance with Fair Housing and other applicable regulations.\nCustomer Service\nAddress resident service requests and concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining strong relationships.\nEnsure maintenance requests are completed within 24-48 hours, notifying residents of any delays.\nAssist with preparing security deposit dispositions promptly after move-out, ensuring compliance with State security deposit laws.\nWhat you will need:\nMinimum of two years of property management, leasing, or related experience with large multifamily community 300+ preferred.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.\nStrong understanding of State landlord-tenant laws, Fair Housing standards, and local regulations.\nStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.\nAbility to problem-solve and adapt to changing priorities.\nCommitment to excellent customer service and resident satisfaction.\nKnowledge of basic accounting principles and operational best practices.\nWho you are:\nFocused with high attention to detail\nCurious and proactive\nGrowth-oriented and well-organized\nDisciplined and self sufficient\nA strong communicator\nTech savvy\nWhat’s in it for you:\nWe believe people do their best work when they’re supported-personally, professionally, and beyond.
